Privacy policy

Understand what stays on your device, what is backed up, and what your study partners can see.

Effective October 1, 2026

Who we are

Learvyn LLC, a Texas company, operates Learvyn Learn and learvyn.com. This policy covers our current early-build learning app, study-group features, website, and support communications. Future features such as subscriptions or AI-powered tutoring are not enabled in this build; we will update this policy when our practices change.

Information we handle

We use this information to provide learning features, synchronize progress, operate groups, respond to requests, prevent abuse, and maintain security. The current app does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera or microphone. We have not added advertising or third-party marketing analytics to this build, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who can see your information

Your study group

Group members can see your display name, chosen status, shared challenge progress and points, and messages posted to the group. Challenge results and review information become available according to the challenge flow. Your email address, personal practice history and mock-exam history are not shown to other group members. Recent activity is off by default; you can enable or disable it for each group.

Anyone who joins using a valid invitation code can see the group's shared information, including visible past messages. Share codes privately. Other members may copy messages or take screenshots; deletion cannot remove copies they keep outside Learvyn.

Reports are available to the group owner for moderation. Owners can remove messages and members. You can also report concerns directly to Learvyn, including concerns about an owner. Blocking a member's chat hides their messages from your view; it does not remove them from the group or prevent them from seeing your messages.

Service providers

We use Supabase for account authentication and cloud data, Resend for sign-in email delivery, and Google Workspace for support email. Our website uses Sites hosting and its hosting infrastructure. Test builds may be delivered through Expo services. These providers process information needed to supply their services, including operational logs. We do not send your learning answers or group chat to an AI model in the current build.

We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, address abuse, or defend legal rights. If our business is transferred, information may transfer with it subject to applicable privacy obligations. Service providers may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Retention and deletion

Active account records and cloud learning data remain until you delete your account or request deletion. Group messages remain until the sender or owner removes them, the sender deletes their account, or the group is deleted. Leaving a group alone does not delete your earlier messages or challenge results; messages from departed members appear as “Former member.”

Successful in-app account deletion removes your sign-in account, cloud learning sessions, memberships, your chat messages and challenge results, and associated reporting and blocking records from the active database. It also clears that account's learning progress, mock-exam history and drafts on the device used for deletion. Your separate guest profile stays.

Shared challenges and other members' data remain. A group you own passes to its longest-standing remaining member; a group with no members is deleted. Group invitation codes change when members leave. Account deletion does not remotely erase cached data on other devices or copies kept by other people. Clear local app or browser data separately on those devices.

Provider backups and operational logs are separate from active records and may persist under the providers' configured retention schedules; deletion is not an immediate purge of every backup or log. Support correspondence and records needed to handle a request, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations may also remain for those purposes. Contact us for information about retention relevant to your request.

See Delete your Learvyn Learn account for the in-app steps and an email request option that does not require installing or signing into the app.

Your choices

You can use individual learning features as a guest, choose whether to create an account, decide whether to import guest progress, turn recent-activity sharing off, delete your own messages, leave a group, or delete your account. Signing out does not delete an account or its cloud data. The app uses local storage and authentication storage to keep progress and sign-in state; clearing that storage can remove unsynced work.

You can email us to request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of personal information, or to raise a privacy concern. Available rights depend on where you live. We may verify account ownership before acting and will explain if a request cannot be fulfilled. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes.

Age and security

Learvyn Learn is intended for people aged 13 and older, not children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate. Teen learners should avoid sharing personal contact details in groups.

We use authenticated access and access controls to restrict account and group data. No online service or device can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device and email account secure and share group invitations only with people you intend to admit.
